Web poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players attain 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original ante, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantaneously to the casino. After the wager is the conclusion. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including a sum on par with the original bet. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The dealer pays out money even with your bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
