Web poker has become world famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling 21 than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the house and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must in turn make a call bet or give up. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including an amount on par with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays chips equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- three to one for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
